What are the requirements for obtaining Online Press Briefing Center Accreditation?

Bona fide representatives of the media - print media, photo, radio, television and film, news agencies and online media - who fully meet Global Bank media accreditation requirements can be accredited to the Online Press Briefing Center (OPBC) and therefore to all Global Bank conferences and events around the world including to the Annual and Spring Meetings of the Board of Governors.

Applicants need to provide the following:

  • Completed online accreditation form;
  • a copy of their valid journalist's press card or, failing this, a letter on a press organization’s official headed notepaper signed by the editor-in-chief;
  • Scanned image of a valid press card (national or international);
  • Scanned image of passport/national ID card; and
  • A photo-ID.

All information required can be submitted as attachments of the online form. If you agree to the terms of accreditation and guidelines on media access to the Online Press Briefing Center fill out the online form and submit with attachments.

If you are interested in covering a specific Global Bank conference then just send a request via the Global Bank Press Contact Form.

Media credentials are issued by the Global Bank free of charge.

If such credentials are not held, or are in question, it will be at the discretion of the Global Bank to determine whether access to the Online Press Briefing Center is granted.

Journalists who meet the requirements above should register on-line at https://www-amsweb-ext.global-bank.org/press-ext/reg.aspx
