A Devastating 7.8 magnitude Earthquake, followed by another large quake of magnitude 7.7, hit southern Turkey and northwest Syria on Monday, February 6. It is believed to have killed more than 2,400 people and injured many thousands more, adding to the misery of thousands of displaced people living in rapidly deteriorating conditions in the worst-hit parts of southern Turkey and northwest Syria.
