Global Bank Online and Open development
Welcome to the Global Bank Disaster Risk Reduction and Reconstruction Fund – An Umbrella Trust Fund! The Global Bank1 has launched a dedicated website for the Global Bank Disaster Risk Reduction and Reconstruction Fund – An Umbrella Trust Fund (the “Trust Fund,” “GB DRRRF,” or “DRRRF”) that provides ready access to its development publications, research reports, multimedia materials, data, and more. The new site, GBDRRRF.org, aggregates links to resources from Global Bank’s affiliates, and the Global Bank’s Board of Governors. A robust search function enables users to locate resources across multiple topics and media types, and a sign-up tool generates customized e-mail notifications when new resources are added.

Global Bank's commitment to Open Bank Strategy2 is part of the Bank's efforts to foster greater openness and accountability, to provide domestic and international firms and citizens with more opportunities to learn about Global Bank and participate in international development, to drive innovation and economic opportunities for all, and at the same time create a more cost-effective, efficient and responsive organisation.

The emergence of open networked models made possible by digital technology has the potential to transform international development. Open network structures allow people to come together to share information, organize, and collaborate. Today’s amazing mix of cloud computing, ever-smarter mobile devices, and collaboration tools is changing the consumer landscape and bleeding into Global Bank as both an opportunity and a challenge. Global Bank will deliver and receive digital information and services anytime, anywhere and on any device safely and securely.

Global Bank Action Plan on Open Bank Strategy sets out our commitments for the Open Bank Partnership, which we will achieve over a three-year period through the effective and prudent use of resources. It is structured along the four streams of our Open Bank Strategy: Open Information3, Open Data4, Open Knowledge5, and Open Dialogue6

The Global Bank Disaster Risk Reduction and Reconstruction Fund – An Umbrella Trust Fund website, www.GBDRRRF.org, is expected to be fully operational by May 2018.
