Under the leadership of Mr. Lopez, the General Services Vice Presidency Unit provides for the effective implementation of Bank's operational support functions and includes all business operations required to deliver efficient and enabling support to Bank's programming and corporate activities, thereby contributing to the Bank's ability to fulfill its mission strategically. This also encompasses the optimization of Bank's internal policies, processes, and infrastructure, and extends to its organizational planning, target-setting, and performance measurement.
Mr. Lopez is a facilities industry executive whose more than 30-year career includes top-level posts managing administrative services and real estate assets for the world's leading companies such as Guess, MGM (Metro-Goldywn Mayer), CNBC, Walt Disney Corporation and Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Lopez has managed diverse corporate real estate portfolios, and built state of the art broadcast and production facilities, including sites for Disney, CNBC, MGM, and others.
Mr. Lopez is a Corporate Executive with a solid record of accomplishments in ensuring corporate productivity and profitability are obtained through real estate development, facilities management, corporate administration, operations and project management, with proven management, financial, interpersonal and organizational skills. Mr. Lopez's project management experience includes the planning, implementation of the design, construction and relocation of MGM Studios world headquarters to the landmark MGM Tower in Century City. Mr. Lopez was responsible for site selection, negotiated leases and built studios, production facilities and offices in The United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Western Europe and Australia. Mr. Lopez has broad and deep experience as the lead administrator of the entire physical plant of very large corporations with a global presence. Mr. Lopez is recognized as an authority and expert in the various aspects relating to field of Facilities Management such as planning, identifying, rationalizing, acquiring and managing capital assets. His practice focus is Real Estate strategy and negotiation, entitlements, and project management.
Lopez serves in industry associations having been a past Vice President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the International Facility Management Association, a member of BOMA's Business Climate Committee and a Board Member of the General Services Counsel of American Management Association and King Harbor Yacht Club. Lopez is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on the topics of Project & Facilities Management, Corporate Leadership and Sustainable practices in project development and in the workplace.
