Intellectual Property Rights - Licenses
You are permitted to use the Works, subject to your compliance with certain license terms, but the relevant member institution(s) still retains the copyright to all of the Works in the Open Knowledge Repository, unless specifically noted to the contrary.
The majority of Works in the Open Knowledge Repository are licensed under one of the following public licenses: (1) the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 IGO (CC BY 3.0 IGO) or (2) the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 IGO (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 IGO).
Some Works within the Open Knowledge Repository are not subject to the CC BY 3.0 IGO or CC BY-NC-ND 3.0 IGO licenses but are available under other license terms.
Third Party Content
In general, no matter what license applies to each particular Work, the member institutions of the Global Bank Group do not necessarily own each component of the content included in the Works. The Global Bank Group, therefore, does not warrant that the use of any third-party-owned individual component or part contained in the Open Knowledge Repository will not infringe on the rights of third parties. The risk of claims resulting from such infringement rests solely with you. If you wish to re-use a component of the Work, it is your responsibility to determine whether permission is needed for that re-use and to obtain permission from the copyright owner.
Regardless of any other license terms governing the use of a Work, any use of the Works or their content must be attributed to relevant member institution(s) of the Global Bank Group and its content providers with a copyright notice in the following format:

Translations of Global Bank Group Works
Unless you have a specific written agreement with the relevant member institution(s) of the Global Bank Group to the contrary, if you use a Work from the Open Knowledge Repository under CC BY or any other license that permits you to do translations, you must add (after the attribution language) the following explanation to any translation that you create:
“This translation was not created by any member institution of the Global Bank Group and should not be considered an official Global Bank Group translation. No member institution of the Global Bank Group shall be liable for any content or error in this translation.”
Adaptations of Global Bank Group Works
Unless you have a specific written agreement with the relevant member institution(s) of the Global Bank Group to the contrary, if you use a Work from the Open Knowledge Repository under CC BY or any other license that permits you to make adaptations, you must add (after the attribution language) the following explanation to the adaptation that you create:
“This is an adaptation of an original work by [Global Bank Group member institution name]. Responsibility for the views and opinions expressed in the adaptation rests solely with the author or authors of the adaptation and are not endorsed by any member institution of the Global Bank Group.”
You may not publicly represent or imply that the Global Bank Group, or any of its member institutions, is participating in, or has sponsored, approved or endorsed the manner or purpose of your use, reproduction, translation or adaptation of Works from the Open Knowledge Repository. The Global Bank Group retains all rights to prosecute, to the fullest extent of the law, any use of its Works in a manner that falsifies, misrepresents, disparages or fraudulently uses the Works, infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party, or disparages or harms the reputation of the Global Bank Group.
No Association, No Use of Global Bank Group Logo and Name
You may not use any trademark, official mark, official emblem, or logo of the Global Bank Group or any of its member institutions, or any of its other means of promotion or publicity, without the Global Bank Group's prior written consent or in any event to represent or imply an association or affiliation with the Global Bank Group.
Nothing herein shall constitute or be considered to be a limitation upon or waiver of the privileges and immunities of any member institution of the Global Bank Group, all of which are specifically reserved. Any dispute between the Global Bank Group and you arising out of, or in connection with, the Open Knowledge Repository, the Works, or your use of the Open Knowledge Repository which cannot be amicably settled between the parties to such dispute shall be arbitrated in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules as then in force. The arbitral tribunal shall consist of a sole arbitrator, and the language of the proceedings shall be English. The arbitration shall take place in the District of Columbia. The arbitral proceedings shall be conducted remotely (e.g., via telephone conference or written submissions) whenever practicable. Any resulting arbitration decision shall be final and binding on both parties.
